As a local B Corporation, Message Agency collaborated with ImpactPHL to help form the Best for PHL campaign, an effort to highlight and celebrate local businesses that have an environmental or social impact. A partnership of Benjamin Franklin Technology Partners, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and the Sustainable Business Network, ImpactPHL is charged with growing the impact economy in the Philadelphia region. The Best for PHL program is one way to help call attention to the extraordinary efforts of ordinary businesses—those not founded to pursue social impact—in making social and environmental change.
What We Did
Message Agency was asked to develop a name and visual identity for this new program, aligning with the existing Best for the World brand established by B Labs, the nonprofit that certifies B Corporations, but providing a distinct approach. We sought to provide a mark that could be used by other localities wishing to adopt this competition, allowing a way to differentiate the mark with local flavor. Our approach also ensured that the mark could be easily used and recognized on shop windows or as an imprimatur on collateral.
